TFRL Uniform “Look We Love”:
The Button-Front Shirt

Hey Revelers, what’s your TFRL (The Fully Realized Life) uniform?

If you’re living The Fully Realized Life, the thing is, you’re busy, busy living that mash-up that is your life when you pick career and family, travel and friends, and a thousand things more. Sometimes you just need a uniform to get out the door, something you can reach for, with assurances that you’ll looked polished, but never fusty. In the olden days (or in another life) you might have reached for a suit, but these days you want something easier, more versatile, more fitted to all the different roles you play.

A silk or broadcloth button-front shirt is one go-to item that fits the bill. Pair it with a pencil skirt, a slim-cut trouser,  or a boyfriend, bootcut or straight leg jean, for an instant, easy, polished look. Complete the look with a great boot or a great pair of heels, and personalize with a stack of bracelets, a statement necklace or a grouping of rings, stacked discreetly on one or two fingers, or piled up — on every single finger — like bling is going out of style.

If you have a willowy figure, tuck your button-front shirt in, and add a wide, skinny or medium width belt. Or, try the half-tuck and let your shirt hang loose in the back.

If you’re a curvy woman — whether a size 0 or a size 16 — pick a shirt that’s cut close to the body and wear it loose. The clean-lined, skim-the-body silhouette will accentuate your waist and curves, just like the perfect wardrobe should.

So, what’s your TFRL uniform? Leave a comment and let us know.
